When we make changes in our personal and professional lives, we need to make sure they stay with us and become habits, incorporated into our daily routine. Once you’ve got this sorted, it feels great. But if the routine gets broken, it can be so hard to get back into it.
According to a study published in the European Journal of Social Psychology, it can take on average 66 days to form a new habit. This varies hugely depending on the person, situation and the behaviour and so could actually take 18 days to 254 days.
