Get your goals back on track
In 1897, French philosopher Paul Janet put forward a theory that is now sometimes referred to as ‘log time’. As we get older, a year becomes a smaller fraction of our lives up to that point - a year for a 5-year-old is 20% of their life so far, but a year to a 50-year old is 2% so it seems to pass ten times faster. Time for an 80-year-old passes almost in the blink of an eye, 16 times faster than it does for a 5-year-old.
And here we find ourselves in September already. Where did the other 8 months go? I hope you have enjoyed the summer, managed to have some down time and rest your body and brain. Sorry to mention it, but we’re almost in the last quarter of the year and Christmas will be here before we know it. But don’t sit back and let time run away. Make every day count and use this time to get back into routine, set some new goals and refocus.
